"Bradley Hemings and I were co artistic directors of London 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony. A daunting prospect for two theatre makers who had never worked on this scale before! However, after our first meeting with Sam and Julia, we knew we were in safe hands. 

Their skill and expertise and working relationship is quite extraordinary. They communicate complex technical scenarios in way that can be understood, their creative problem solving was fundamental to our process and I never minded asking questions and they never made me feel stupid. 

Their Deaf awareness and understanding of working with me and my sign language interpreters and overall disability awareness was crucial to the success of our show and our performing team. They were behind our vision of human rights, diversity and inclusion and supported us in various battles when others did not ‘get it’.
